Hello. Welcome to the Convo Blog.

I became a blogger unintentionally as a result of publishing my first book, Conversations and Observations and the ConvoBooks website. I am excited about this new season of my life and this new adventure as an author and blogger. I welcome this opportunity to learn and grow as I research content for the Convo Blog. I appreciate having you with me on this journey as I share my voice with the world. These books and blogs will go places beyond my reach. Also, I want to encourage you to find your Voice: Find It. Strengthen It. Use It.

Finding It will take a Cause to Champion

Strengthening It will take a Commitment to Cultivate

Using It will take Courage to Confront and Change

The world needs to hear from you. Your life experiences may help someone on their journey.

The Convo Blog will provide the space for dialogue on various topics. While the Conversations and Observations book series will help promote communication between couples, the Convo Blog will be a place you can gain insight and perspective from people outside of your relationships.

It is my hope that we can create a community where we can push the conversation further to enhance our relationships and lives through similar and shared experiences.

So…Here is to Pushing the Conversation Further, Let the Blogs Begin! Cheers!

Greetings.

Let’s have a conversation about chemistry and compatibility. They are both independent elements but have an influence on each other. Both also have a different impact on relationships we should take into consideration.
Chemistry is defined as “a strong mutual attraction, attachment or sympathy” according Merriam-Webster dictionary.
Compatibility is synonymous with “peaceful co-existence” according to Merriam Webster thesaurus.
Consider these two scenarios:

Example of relationships with chemistry minus compatibility:
A couple who has a deep connection but different lifestyles and life goals. This scenario leads to constant frustration which jeopardize the future of the relationship despite having a rare love and understanding of each other. These are people who “get” each but their lives are going in opposite directions. If the relationship ends, each may view the other as “the one that got away” or have thoughts of, “if only they had this or did that”. Either way there is a sense of regret.

Example of relationships with compatibility minus chemistry:
A couple who has similar life goals and lifestyle but there is no deep connection. This scenario leads to playing it safe or settling for someone because they provide security and stability despite no chemistry. Chemistry occurs on many levels of our being- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. There are couples who are in relationship with people they are not attracted to or excited about. But this person meets an agenda or help portray an image. Again, more regret.
Let’s talk about it.

Is it possible to have a successful relationship having one but not the other??
Please share your thoughts and experiences
